There are two variations to this deck (actually there can be more please feel free to try out different alternative cards). The 5 main core cards are mega-minion, minions, miner and lava hound.
Lava Hound: The main role of lava hound is a tanker. Use it to soak up all the incoming damage while you deal damage from the back.
Miner: Acts as a semi-tank + chip damage. Miner can be used to destroy cards like archers, goblins, musketeer, witch, wizard(etc etc) that are attacking your lava hound. It is especially good at taking out annoying princesses.
Minions: Good DPS card. Minions are used to destroy units that are attacking your lava hound. They can take down inferno(a superb counter to lava hound) tower pretty fast as well.
Mega-Minion: A mini tank + DPS card. Mega-minion can be used to take down units like ice wizard, fire wizard, princess(etc etc) and is generally good against any ground unit. It can be used to soak up damage from ice spirits and fire spirits as well.
Tombstone: Tombstone is a great defense cards like hog rider / elite barbarians (both which are pretty popular cards). Using the skeletons spawns to support lava hound is great as well.
Zap: This is by far one of the best cards in clash royale. Zap can be used to reset inferno tower and stop skeleton army.
Fireball: Fireball is an awesome card to support lava hound. A well placed fireball can be used to for positive elixir trade.
Skeleton Army: One of the defense card used together with tombstone. Can be used to stop hog rider, elite barbarians, prince, miner, goblin barrel(etc etc)
Minion Horde: This is a replacement for skeleton army. Minion horde is the highest DPS card in clash royale. Lava hound + minion horde can take down an undefended tower within a mere few seconds.
Lightning: Lightning is used to destroy elixir collectors, triple muskeeters and units that are used to defend the tower like muskeeter, ice wizard, inferno tower, fire wizard(etc etc) in just one hit.
Arrow: Arrow is used to counter your opponent cards like skeleton army, minions, goblin barrels.
How To Attack –
If possible, always wait until you have 10 elixirs before placing your lava hound. Place your lava hound card at he bottom most left / right tile to start of the attack. You can then add on cards like minions or tombstone to support your lava hound. If there is fire wizard, ice wizard or musketeer on the field shooting at your lava hound, you can opt for mega minion to support your lava hound instead.
You can get ready your fireball for potential minion / minion horde. Miners can be used to clear out support cards that are attacking your lava hound and it can deal additional damage to the tower after it takes out your opponent support cards. Zap can be used to take out spear goblins that are attacking your lava hound.
If your opponent uses a inferno tower as defense, you can use zap to reset the inferno tower and send minions / skeleton army to take out the inferno tower. If you think that the push has no potential to deal a good amount of damage, you can always let your lava hound die and quickly cycle through your deck while you defend to get ready for your next push.
Same as alternative 1, always wait until you have 10 elixirs before placing your lava hound. Place your lava hound card at he bottom most left / right tile to start of the attack. You can then add on cards like minions or tombstone to support your lava hound. If there is fire wizard, ice wizard or musketeer on the field shooting at your lava hound, you can opt for mega minion to support your lava hound instead. Alternatively, you can use lightning to take out musketeers / wizards / ice wizards if you think that the elixir trade is worth it.
Lightning is an exceptional counter against elixir pumps, triple musketeers or spawning cards like goblin huts and furnace.
Remember, always place your supporting cards behind your lava hound, let the lava hound tank the damage while your supporting cards destroy the rest of your opponent defense card. The best scenario will be your lava hound reaching the tower without dying with your supporting cards alive attacking your opponent tower.
How To Defend –
Once you place your lava hound card, you have 3 elixirs left to defend against your opponent push. If your opponent decides to rush you with hog rider / elite barbarians, you can put down a tomb stone as defense. If your opponent decides to zap / log when your tombstone is destroyed, you can follow up by using your skeleton army / minion / miner. You will trade 6 for 6 elixirs if your opponent uses hog rider and you trade +2 elixir if your opponent uses elite barbarians.
If your opponent decides to throw a miner + goblin barrel, you can use mega minion / minion / minion horde to take them down. If possible, take down the goblins first because it will take about 2 – 3 seconds to kill the miner and the goblin will deal quite a bit of damage in this duration.
If your opponent decides to counter push with giant / royal giant, you can have your minion / mega minion / skeleton army ready for defense. Try to use minions as defense first if possible as they do not die to log / zap and they deal higher damage plus if your opponent support with minions, it can wipe out your skeleton army quickly. Always make your decision according to what cards you have as well as what cards your opponent have.
